Born in Santa Rosa, California, Marshall graduated from Occidental College, Los Angeles, with a degree in Film and New Media Production, minoring in Theater. Marshall has worked on various mediums in front of and behind the camera. When he was 27, he directed, co-wrote, produced, edited and starred in his first feature film, "Division III: Football’s Finest."
He cut his teeth in branded entertainment through commercial competitions on the crowdsourced studio, Tongal.com. He was the first to be awarded “Tongaler of the Year” and was later inducted into their “Hall of Fame.” He has directed, written and produced over fifty commercials (for broadcast and digital distribution) with producing partner Tyler A. Hawes, through their production company, Convoy Entertainment.

Tyler (IMDb) loves that Convoy allows him to get involved in so many aspects of creation, from development through production to finish. “I’m inspired by the many collaborators among clients, talent and crew who always push themselves to do their best and appreciate the fantastically challenging, creative and rewarding work they have. Working with them makes stepping into the studio every day a joy.”
Since 2010, Tyler has been directing and producing with Convoy. Together with Convoy partner Marshall Cook, he has made more than fifty spots, winning multiple awards including “Tongaler of the Year” and being inducted into the “Tongal Hall of Fame” in 2016.
With over sixteen years’ experience working in the film and entertainment industry, Tyler got his start working in visual effects and post-production. He founded Los Angeles-based VFX and DI facility Lit Post, which he lead for over a decade, coloring or supervising effects on more than 60 films. Prior to that he worked as a Software Engineer for Intel and Microsoft up in the Pacific Northwest, where he was born and studied art and literature.
